The Director and the winemaker

Daniel Rieux is the cornerstone for the whole unit. He is a native of a small Minervois town and comes from a 5 generation wine-making and negotiation family. He has studied viticulture and enology and put his knowledge to work in his family's wine cellars before moving to Quarante. Here he has put his ideas on various types of suitable grape varieties and vinification methods into practice. He is the dynamic leader of this partnership and oversees the vinification processes.
